I was looking for a way to hang my mini quads and FPV wings on the wall. This would save so much space and is also nice way to display my collections. Thanks to the suggestions from my Facebook group, I found the perfect solution – 3M Command Utility hooks!
With your RC model hanging on the wall, it’s so easy to just grab them and go flying when you are in a hurry.
Where to Buy?

- Amazon (EU/UK) – https://amzn.to/2JU2fl6
The reason I chose 3M Command hooks is that, they are removable and doesn’t damage the wall – some say it doesn’t even leave any marks!
There are quite a few options of different sizes and strengths. I went with “Medium Utility Hooks” because these seem to be the best value option. Each hook can hold up to 1.3Kg, which is more than enough for any mini quad.
You can even use it to hold your FPV goggles or radio transmitter. I use two hooks for my FPV wing and it works like a charm!
3D Printing Hooks
When I bought the 3M hooks, it came with 6 hooks but 12 strips (double sided tapes). I guess the extra strips are for relocating the hooks in the future.
Why not make some more hooks and use the extra strips? I can have 12 hooks on the wall instead of just 6 :)
So I searched on Thingiverse, and found this great design which is totally what I need: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2967618
Show Me Your Wall!
Hope you like my new wall :) And please show me your wall on IntoFPV when you have finished decorating yours.

how does it work on drywall?
This is close to what I like to do. You can get these hooks in many different sizes. Generally I use two of them per model, but I also like to drive a small nail through the bracket for added security. I’ve had the 3M tape come loose from the wall before. It usually takes some time, but it can happen and it would be a real shame if it were your transmitter that took a plunge. Driving a small nail through it makes it virtually impossible to fall off the wall.
Are you using a single hook? I’m tryin to take a closer look to see how the quad rests on it.
Congrats on making it to the frontpage of my google feed
I love it! I was doing a very “shallow” research earlier. This will save my time.
