We have tested the new Cobra Champion 2205 2300kv motors. This review is purely based on flying experience and impression about these motors, thrust data was not measured.
We have tested the newly released Cobra motors: 1806 2800kv and 2204 2850kv designed for smaller (150-180) frames and 4″ props. The tests was purely based on flying experience, with different props / frame sizes etc. Thrust data was not measured.
Mini quads are a very specific little flying machines that are created with speed in mind. They can be used for racing on a 3D race track or simply for acro freestyle flying. In both cases they need powerful motors that would allow for such demanding use.
Ever since I used Cobra motors on my mini quad, I came across the issue where the motor bell develops vertical movement ( bell is can move up and down). With Artur Banach’s permission, I am sharing his question and answer from Cobra CEO himself.
The name “Cobra 2204” have been mentioned so many times on many forums and discussion boards when people are discussing motors for small size multicopters, for example the 250mm Mini-H quad and the 290mm Spider hexacopter. Therefore I decided to give this motor a try too.
