Must-Have Accessories for DJI Avata 2 Drone: Boost Durability and User Experience

SD Card

You will need some decent SD card for the 4K recording, if your cards are too low recording might randomly stop during flight. The same applies to your FPV Goggles DVR.

GoPro/Insta360 Camera Mount

You can use this adapter to mount a Insta360 or GoPro action camera on top of the Avata 2. However, be aware that the adapter location might obstruct the GPS sensor, potentially reducing GPS signal quality.

Spare Propellers

Even though the DJI Avata 2 comes with propeller guards, it’s still possible to damage the propellers, especially when flying in tight spaces. Having some spare propellers ensures optimal flight performance and prevents “jello” from ruining your footage.

The official ND filters from DJI might be of great quality, but they are quite expensive. These filters can pop off and get lost during collisions, so opting for more affordable ND filters might be a good option for those on a budget.

Landing Gear

If you often land on puddles, wet dirt, or grass, landing gear would be ideal for avoiding a dirty or wet Avata 2.

Protective Bumper

Adding guards on guards might seem redundant, but the DJI Avata 2 is somewhat fragile and its prop guards can easily crack as demonstrated in my review. It might add a little bit of weight, but the protective bumpers on the drone’s exterior reduce the risk of a damaged frame.

The camera lens on the DJI Avata 2 is quite exposed. A camera bumper can safeguard the lens from direct impact during a collision.
